Green section. Wait your dog at the end of the weaves and recall the first
jump turn right and right again onto dog walk. Stop the dog on the touch point
and go to tunnel entrance send in and pick up at exit send into weaves. If required
guiding part way through. Repeat in opposite direction starting and ending on
the red jump.
Exercise Two
White section. The see-saw was tipped and the dog placed on it with back paws
on the touch point and front on the floor as per dog walk and A frame in previous
weeks. Leave and go to A frame call over and stop on touch point walk away to
jump and call turn right and Finnish the line of jumps sending to toy. The see-saw
was not completed it is just in the course to get the dogs used to the banging
as they move off. After a few rounds the see-saw was turned slightly and the
course was completed in the opposite direction again starting from the touch
point.
Exercise Three
Yellow section. Again this week a demanding section, a snake of three jumps
drop tunnel and tyre. The objective in this section is to complete the snake
while staying on one side of the jumps. This did prove a little difficult with
most dogs having some problems. Start by waiting your dog at an angle behind
the center jump, recall over it and guide over the third giving your "left"
command, turn "right"over jump and into tunnel, give "tyre!!"
command early to stop your dog turning, end by sending through to toy and praise.
Repeat a few times then start from jump one. Don't expect to much to soon as
this exercise will take a few weeks to perfect.
